Personal Pursuits
When I am not at work, I make time to pursue many hobbies and continuing professional developments. Below is a short summary of what I get up to.

CPD
As a strong believer of a lifelong learning, I am constantly on the lookout for interesting courses for personal and professional reasons.
Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies with HarvardX
During the pandemic in 2010, I completed the 6 week online course with HarvardX. It gave me a deep insight into creative ways of solving social issues in emerging economies.
ITC - Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility
Having a strong interest in corporate social responsibility, I completely an online course organized by ITC Academy in March 2025. I am especially interested in applying my knowledge in the hospitality sector.
Domestika
I am a big fan of Domestika! There are so many interesting course, and here are a few that I participated in:
- Transforming Your Creative Ideas into Personal Projects by Ji Lee
- Introduction to UX Design by Ethan Perry
- Illustration for Patterns with Soul by Catalina Estrada Uribe
- Canva for Beginner by Clàudia Cánovas
Coursiv
As we are entering into the AI age, I feel it is important to stay informed with the latest AI technologies. As such, I signed up to an online course and dipped my toes in various AI apps, including ChatGPT, DeepSeek, MidJourney, Dall-E, Stable Diffusion and Jasper AI. They certainly opened my eyes into AI's numerous capabilities!
Conferences/Art Shows/Talks
I also enjoy attending various events here in Singapore and find ways to connect with the wider society and the world. Past shows include ART SG, FIND DESIGN FAIR ASIA and the FRIDA KAHLO: THE LIFE OF AN ICON. I enjoyed a seminar ran by THE RED PENCIL HUMANITARIAN MISSION PRESENTATION: ROMANIAN ART THERAPY PROJECT FOR UKRANIAN CHILDREN where I got to learn how art therapy can help overcome traumas in life. During my overseas travels, I also strive to find time to visit galleries and art shows. I often attend online talks too.
GIVE BACK
My father has always taught me to give back to the society. From a young age, we used to participate in flag days and running races for charity fund raising. As I got older, I would accompany him to disaster relief trips and other volunteering events. Please click here to learn more about my small efforts in trying to help others.
HOBBIES
I also enjoy working on various art and craft projects such as calligraphy, sewing, fabric printing and pottery. Here are a few examples.
